Potatoes

Potatoes

by Austin T

(NJ)

As I was thrown into the heart of battle,

I never ate any potatoes;
When I found a farmers field,
I ate more spuds than a spud spuckling sparrow,
The grays rushed in my field;
We shot them in their tracks,
No taters for them,
More for me;
And my men of the 92nd Infantry.
