Gettysburg Harley Davidson

It was pouring down rain on the day that we visited the Gettysburg Harley Davidson shop north of town along route 15, so we didn't get to admire much of the landscaping. We actually missed the turn in the blinding rain! Tip: Look for the three flagpoles.

Motorcycles can use a special parking area right outside the entrance. There's a neat piece of art on the porch. It's a big blue horse with a scene from downtown Gettysburg painted on it.

Going Inside
They have everything motorcycle and Harley Davidson that your can think of! Besides the latest bike models, all kinds of bike gear line the shelves from helmets to mirrors to gloves to sunglasses. The clothing includes not only a variety of leather jackets, but also hats, shirts, and pants in every shade and style. There's even a dog section with one bandana that said, "Bad to the bone." -- too cute!

While you're having your bike worked on, there's a lounge area with leather sofas where you can watch TV. Or use the Harley Davidson pool table to pass the time. You can also enjoy a cup of coffee and buy snacks.

Take a Ride
If you call ahead of time, (717)337-9005 or toll-free 877-595-9005, you can arrange to take a demo ride. You'll need to bring proof that you can drive a motorcycle, and all of your own safety gear, most importantly your helmet.

You can also tour the battlefields of Gettysburg Harley Davidson style on a motorcycle!
